October 9th & 10th | Durango, Colorado

This October, step into the high-alpine sanctuary of the San Juan Mountains for a transformative two-day immersion into the Energy, Calm, Power (ECP) methodology. This intensive seminar is a unique experience drawing directly from the core content of the ECP Initiation and Swimming Through Space programs.

Our primary objective is to help you "reframe" your body from a collection of isolated parts into a unified, resilient, and effortless system of Whole-Body Tensegrity.

What is the Energy, Calm, Power (ECP) Program?

The ECP program is a comprehensive, cyclical training system designed to reverse the fragmented, stressful effects of modern life and restore your body’s innate structural genius. By integrating the principles of internal martial arts with modern biomechanics (Tensegrity), the methodology systematically cultivates vitality (Energy), emotional stability (Calm), and intrinsic strength (Power).

How the Durango Summit Fits In:

While ECP provides a robust foundation of self-guided online study, live in-person workshops are essential to the journey. The Durango Summit serves as a powerful physical initiation, providing the hands-on guidance necessary to successfully "flip the switch" and activate your whole-body tensegrity. This intensive experience is designed to accelerate your progress through the Discover, Develop, and Apply cycle, ensuring you leave knowing exactly what the integrated state feels like in your own body so you can reinforce it in your daily practice at home.

The Core Experience & Seminar Highlights

Activating Your Frame (The Trilibrium)

We move past abstract theory and localized muscular strength to unlock your innate structural brilliance. You will receive direct guidance and personalized feedback on the Trilibrium process—balancing Gravity Stacking, Root & Branch Unity, and Uniting Open & Close. Our goal is to help you transition from a slow, conscious setup procedure to the "Instant Trigger," enabling you to subconsciously recall and activate your frame on demand.

Reversing the Polarity

You will learn to reverse the mechanical polarity of your stepping. We will trade the inefficient, energy-wasting habit of pushing off the ground for a seamless, gravity-assisted wave motion known as the "Slurping Step" or "Mud Walking." By learning to let gravity pull you through space, you conserve massive amounts of energy while unlocking incredible power and fluidity in your locomotion.

Integrated Walking

We will apply this newly discovered power directly to the practical application of integrated walking as we hike to scenic vistas. By maintaining the "Kelp Feeling" of buoyancy and root as you move, your legs become yoked together as a single, fluid hydraulic engine rather than operating as isolated levers.

The Mineral Water Trilibrium

Enjoy unique water training at the beautiful Durango Hot Springs. We will use the experience of physical immersion in these natural, mineral-rich thermal pools to bio-mechanically enhance and deepen the Trilibrium frame activation process.

Searching in Circles (Sneak Peek)

Get an exclusive first look at my upcoming program for advanced practitioners. This segment introduces the infinitude of circle walking practice, placing you in a kinetic crucible where forward momentum, centrifugal force, and centripetal adhesion combine to rapidly accelerate the development of strength, flexibility, and integration within your frame.

Seminar Prerequisites & Pre-Work for the Durango Intensive

To ensure success and maximize your time in the Nowspace, completion of the Swimming Through Space and/or ECP The Initiation programs serves as the essential pre-work for this intensive. Practitioners should arrive already possessing the foundational ability to activate their frame by recall and have established the ability to change their physical structure using the Feelization process.

Before you arrive, begin building your daily formal practice habit focusing on the core content in these programs. Work to apply those principles directly to casual experiences like walking and hiking, transforming them into integrated practices that pull your awareness into the present moment. Additionally, attendees must visit The Way of Intent to review the specific pre-read and pre-watch materials posted on the ECP page to give themselves a massive conceptual head start before stepping onto the trailhead.

Finally, keep in mind that we will be training outdoors in a high-alpine environment under the bright, high-altitude Durango sun. To prepare for the altitude and the elements, you must wear sun protection, stay deeply hydrated, and bring a water bottle and light snacks to keep your energy stable.

What to Bring: Packing for the Summit

To get the most out of our time together across indoor groundwork, outdoor trail hiking, and water training, please arrive prepared:

Dress for Freedom (and the Weather): Wear comfortable, loose clothing that won't restrict your movement or your breathing. Because early October in the San Juan Mountains brings crisp mornings and warm, sunny afternoons, packing layers is absolutely essential.

Connect to the Earth (Footwear): For indoor training, bring flat-soled shoes or simply plan to wear socks; thick, cushioned running shoes disrupt proprioception, and we need your feet intimately connected to the ground to establish your root. For outdoor sessions, bring a pair of minimalist trail shoes that offer protection but still allow your feet to articulate on the earth.

Hands-Free Carry (Back-Worn Fanny Packs): To maintain proper structural alignment and a relaxed upper body while hiking, your hands and arms need to remain completely unencumbered. We highly encourage bringing a fanny pack worn across your back to carry your water, electrolytes, and snacks. This ensures your frame stays completely free to practice integrated walking mechanics on the trail.

A Training Belt: Incorporating a traditional martial arts or specialized training belt (such as a Grip6 Belt) into your routine is highly recommended. It biomechanically stabilizes the core, provides continuous somatic feedback to your center, and serves as a powerful psychological trigger to pull your consciousness directly into the Nowspace.

Fuel the Frame: Bring a water bottle and a light snack. Keeping your energy stable is the key to maintaining high-quality neurological focus, especially at high altitudes.

Hot Springs Gear: Be sure to pack a swimsuit, a towel, and sandals for our immersion training session at the hot springs.

Where to Gear Up in Durango

If you forget a layer, need to grab minimalist trail shoes, or want to pick up a specialized hydration pack once you arrive, Durango has a fantastic local outdoor gear scene. Here are the top-rated spots in town to get outfitted:

  • Durango Outdoor Exchange: A fantastic locally-owned consignment shop providing quality, new, and used outdoor gear and apparel. It is a great stop if you need a quick extra layer for crisp mountain mornings without paying premium retail prices.

  • REI Co-op Durango: The dependable national cooperative is also located right in town, offering a massive selection of top-brand gear, trail snacks, and electrolytes.
