A 3-Hour Intensive: Activating Whole-Body Tensegrity and Integrated Strength
This preview outlines the essential structure and content of the Energy, Calm, Power Initiation Workshop. The goal is not just to introduce techniques, but to provide the physical, experiential initiation necessary to shift the practitioner from fragmented effort to Integrated Strength.
The workshop is designed for immediate application, ensuring every attendee leaves with the tools to click-in to their Activated Frame.
Introduction: The Energy, Calm, Power Method
(Duration: 10 minutes - Brief Review, as core concepts are covered in pre-read material)
The workshop will begin with a brief introduction. Attendees will receive pre-read material covering the ECP philosophy: why the body is a Tensegrity structure, the lineage of Yi Chuan, the DDA Spiral progression, and the difference between sectional strength and whole-body power.
The central message is clear: we are here to master state, not form. The three hours will be dedicated to forging the fundamental structure for Energy, Calm, and Power.
Part 1: Calm and Presence—Anchoring in the Nowspace

(Duration: ~60 minutes - Focus on Awareness, Release, and Structural Alignment)
The first hour is dedicated to establishing Calm and structural integrity. We move the center of awareness out of the mind and into the body's subtle feeling states.
I. Entering the Nowspace and Releasing Tension
The Click-In Ritual: Attendees will be guided through the state-induction ritual to enter the Nowspace—a state of present-time, kinesthetic awareness. This uses awareness games and deep breathing exercises to bypass intellectual distraction.
Finding & Releasing: We introduce the Body Scan coupled with the Sigh Release protocol. This practice teaches the practitioner to identify, locate, and deliberately release unnecessary tension, discomfort, and pain—the habitual tension that locks up the joints and prevents the flow of energy.
Grounding and Clearing: The essential Grounding and Clearing process will be practiced as a reliable tool to "wash out" external energetic noise and reset the system when the practitioner feels disconnected, whether in practice or daily life.
II. Gravity Stacking

Attendees will practice aligning their frame with gravity in our most fundamental stances, The Natural Stance. This is the initial step of the Trilibrium, which is the focus of Part 2, where the practitioner discovers the Internal Orbit—the automatic balance mechanism—by consciously allowing the body to align itself with the downward flow of gravity.
Part 2: Power and Energy—Activating the Frame
(Duration: ~60 minutes - Focus on Activation, Polarity, and Structural Unity)
Part Two moves the practice from still awareness to full structural activation.
I. The Trilibrium Procedure

The Trilibrium is the key to achieving Whole Body Tensegrity. Practitioners will be guided through the final, crucial components of activation:
Gravity Stacking: Attendees will be introduced to several of our Fundamental Shapes and be challenged to maintain their alignment withing the gravitational flow. Achieving a sensation of floating, where the arms feel almost weightless is the goal and this state serves as an effective prerequisite for the Rooting & Branching step/aspect of the exercise.
Root & Branch Unity: Through specific Feelizations (mind-intent), attendees will learn to instantly connect the "root & branch"—linking the sensation of sinking (Root) and stretching (Branch) as one continuous force. This fills out the frame and establishes the vertical energy line.
Uniting Open & Close: The final step is linking open and close (expansion and containment). This practice balances the inner and outer rings of the frame, ensuring the integrated state is active and resilient. The combined process ensures the Activated Frame is online, providing the basis for Integrated Strength.
II. Polarity Reversal in Stepping

Habitual movement patterns learned early in childhood often lead to a dominance of pushing one mass away from the ground and therefore against the flow of gravity. By reversing this movement habit we can rediscover our bodies as the gravity sails they are and learn to store and release within the flow with every step.
Flipping the Polarity: We will introduce the fundamental mechanics of Polarity Reversal. Attendees will learn why pushing off the ground is energy-wasting and how to initiate the Integrated Step—using gravity to pull themselves through space. This is the practical integration of the Trilibrium into the lower body.
Conscious Control: Attendees practice intentionally connecting and moving in the integrated state without needing a lengthy procedure, training the ability to maintain the frame by feel rather than method.
Part 3: Application and Evolution—Forging Integrated Life

(Duration: ~50 minutes - Focus on Application, Development, and the ECP Future)
The final block addresses Problem 4: Training Stagnation by introducing the transition to Integrated Practice and setting the path for future development.
I. Feelization-Based Movement and Development
Single Movement Introduction: We will introduce Feelization-based movement exercises (simple patterns and shapes) that challenge the practitioner to maintain the Activated Frame in motion. This explores evolving beyond fixed postures.
Evolving Personal Practice: Attendees will receive instruction on how to build their Formal Daily Practice, understand the need for internal variations (the Snowflake Principle), and establish the continuous feedback loop between Formal Practice (the R&D Lab) and Integrated Practice.

The Feelization process harnesses the power of Intent to help the practitioner Discover, Develop and Use Integrated Strength in their daily life.
II. Transmuting Negative Habits and the Path Forward
Integrated Practice Principle: Attendees will learn how to apply their achievements to life activities—both exciting (e.g., dynamic sports) and mundane (e.g., sitting, standing in line)—in order to transmute negative cues and habitual patterns into positive ones.
Next Steps: The core message is that ECP is a self-guided journey enhanceable with live interaction. Attendees will leave with a new understanding of the exponential potential for applying integrated strength to their lifestyle.
III. Standing the State Group Training

As we approach the conclusion of the ECP Initiation workshop, we will engage in a dynamic and collaborative group exercise known as "Standing the State." This activity is designed to foster a deep sense of connection and unity among all participants, enhancing the overall experience of the workshop.
The Purpose of the Exercise: The primary aim of Standing the State is to cultivate a profound feeling of linkage and connectedness, not only within ourselves but also among our fellow attendees. In a world that often emphasizes individualism, this exercise serves as a reminder of the power of community and shared experiences.
Utilizing Strong Feelizations: To achieve this sense of connectedness, we will employ what we refer to as "strong Feelizations." These are intentional practices designed to evoke specific sensations that resonate deeply within us. Feelizations can take various forms, including guided visualization, breath work, and mindfulness techniques.
Optional Post-Workshop Session: Self-Defense Applications
(Duration: ~60 minutes - Optional Add-On)
Self-Defense is powerful and natural way to express Integrated Strength. For those participant with martial arts training and/or those interested in pugilistic expressions of Integrated Strength I am offering an add-on to the ECP Initiation workshop. In this post-op session we will be addressing several topics, including:
Frame Testing: Exploration of partner drills and light contact to test the frame's integrity under perturbation, demonstrating how the integrated state neutralizes external force.
Power Discharge: Introduction to drills focused on receiving and discharging strength while maintaining the integrated frame (the Whole Wave principle).
Wolverine Response: Discussion on the goal of subconscious activation—how the integrated state becomes a psychological trigger that grants the Wolverine Response (instant, non-intellectual action) in a self-defense situation.
Attendees will leave with a clear path for continuing their study via the Energy, Calm, Power program subscription.
