My Background

Hi, I’m Steve Ehrenreich, and I’m honored to be the only officially sanctioned Yi Chuan teacher with the blessing of Master Cheuk Fung from San Francisco, California.

In addition to my passion for martial arts, I’m a lawyer, technology entrepreneur, CEO, father, and husband.

Through thewayofintent.com, I offer effective online training for Integrated Strength practitioners worldwide, providing both self-guided programs and live workshop opportunities.

My mission with thewayofintent.com is to bring the once-secret methods of “Integrated Strength” (hunyuan strength, oneness strength, internal strength, and more) to the forefront—demystified and made practical for real-world application.

I help external martial arts teachers apply internal kung fu techniques, bridging styles like Karate and Jujitsu. I also show how the restorative aspects of the art can benefit those focused on energy, health, and fitness—including trainers and therapists.

When I’m not teaching or working, you’ll find me adventuring—fishing, surfing, snowboarding, cooking, hunting, diving, traveling, and doing my best to keep up with my two teenage kids.

My early martial arts journey includes earning black belts in Karate, Kung Fu, and Aikijutsu. Today, I love teaching how Yi Chuan’s integrated strength methods can blend with external martial arts and even other disciplines like yoga, creating a One Practice approach that helps people feel and perform better in whatever they choose to pursue.
